Praising the beauty of God's creation should not be a distraction from praising God. Appreciating the beauty of creation is one means of praising God. From the very beginning the Christians revered and remembered the martyrs in their liturgy and celebrated the date of their martyrdom annually. Christians prayed for one another and included those who had died in the faith as part of their living community. e still do.
